For the size of our parish, we have enormous outreach programs. In addition to a very active Thrift Store, we have a daily Soup Kitchen, all staffed by volunteers. In 2005, we gave away 2000 winter coats to needy people in a cold climate as well as donating clothing and furniture to the truly destitute. When fire eliminated an apartment complex, we reclothed and refurnished two apartments for needy folks.
We are always in need of people with big hearts and a sense that God is calling them to share the blessings they have received in life. We welcome such people to help in our Soup Kitchen, our Thrift Store, our Parish Dinners, our Music Ministry and new ministries as we continue our rapid growth. Please feel free to come to the Church weekdays or on Saturday at 11:30 AM to witness how a growing parish ministers to the crying needs of those around us, all done because God has touched each one of us.
Sharing ministry with Temple Beth Haverim Shir Shalom in Mahwah, NJ, we are inaugurating a "Green Ministry" in which we explore ways in which people of God can reduce our waste and pollution and to leave the world a healthier better place for the generations that follow us.
